This website is published by Dominion Lending Centres Homestead Financial, a mortgage brokerage licensed in Ontario (brokerage licence #11711). This page explains what information the website collects. The short version: it collects only what you choose to send through the free estimate form.
What this website collects
- One form, no accounts. The free estimate form is the only place this website asks for your name, email, phone number or address.
- The calculator and the fit check run in your browser. Nothing you type into them is saved or sent anywhere, and it disappears when you leave the page.
- Basic server records. The company that hosts the website (Cloudflare) keeps standard technical records, such as the pages requested and the time, to keep the site running and secure.
The free estimate form
The form asks about your home, your age, any mortgage, liens or other debts, what you would like the money for, and how to reach you: your name, email, phone number and home address. The address box uses Google's address lookup to fill in your address as you type.
When you send the form, your answers go to the brokerage's own client records, with a few technical details (the page you sent it from, the type of device, your internet address and time zone). They are used to prepare your estimate and to contact you the way you asked, and are handled under Canada's private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA).
Email and phone
If you email or call, your message is used only to answer you and, if you ask, to help with a mortgage. It is handled under the brokerage's obligations as a licensed Ontario mortgage brokerage and Canada's private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA).
Questions
