General information, not advice
The pages explain how reverse mortgages and related options work in Toronto. They are general information, not legal, tax or financial advice for your situation. Before you sign any mortgage, your own lawyer explains it to you; that meeting is required for every reverse mortgage in Canada.
Figures change
Rates, fees, home values and government program rules change. Each page shows the date its figures were checked and where they came from. A lender's offer, based on its own appraisal of your home, is what counts.
Estimates are not approvals
The calculator and the estimate form give estimates. Only a lender can approve a mortgage, after its own review.
Links to other websites
Pages link to sources such as the City of Toronto, the Government of Ontario and the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board so you can check figures yourself. Those websites are not controlled by the brokerage.
